Who we are

Vyuuh Inc. operates the vyuuh app and Vyuuh Studio. You can reach us at hello@vyuuh.com.

What we collect

Your account. An email address and a username, so an account exists and you can sign back into it. A profile picture and display name if you add them.

What you publish. Streams you broadcast, recordings of them, comments you write and reactions you send. These are the product, and other people see them.

Where a stream was. When you broadcast, the app records the position and camera direction of the capture. This is what lets independent viewpoints of one occurrence be recognised as belonging to the same Event.

Be clear about what that means. It is attached to the broadcast, and the broadcast is attached to your account, so it can be linked to you. A previous version of this page said it was not attached to you as a person, which was misleading. It is collected only while you are broadcasting. Viewers who are not authorised to see precise positions are shown a coarse location rather than the exact one, and we retain it for as long as the broadcast and its Event record exist.

Diagnostics. Performance and error information used to find defects. It is not sold, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

The pilot request form

If you send a pilot request from the contact page, we store what you typed: your name, organization, role, email, phone if you gave one, the event type, its approximate date, the city, and your message.

We also record the time, your browser's user-agent string and the network address the request came from. Those two exist to stop automated abuse of a public form, not to profile you.

How it is handled. The request is written to our own database in the United States. A notification is emailed to us through Amazon SES so we see it promptly; the email carries the same information you typed and nothing more. No third-party form service is involved, so nobody else's script reads what you write about your event.

How long we keep it. For as long as we are in conversation about a pilot, and after that no longer than we need it. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will, and tell you when it is done. The short-lived counters we use for rate limiting expire automatically within the hour.

Faces

This deserves its own section because it is the thing people most reasonably worry about.

The identity vyuuh derives for an Event comes from scene geometry. It does not use faces. There is no facial field in that derivation anywhere.

Face detection exists in exactly two places: a camera effect you choose to apply, and cropping a profile picture you chose yourself. Both run on your device using the operating system's own vision framework, and both ask only for a bounding rectangle.

  • No biometric template is created, stored or compared.
  • No face recognition, face matching or liveness detection is performed.
  • No facial landmark geometry is extracted. That capability was removed in September 2026.
  • No face-derived value is persisted, logged or transmitted.
  • No cloud face service and no third-party biometric SDK is used, so there is no sub-processor for face data.

Face ID, where you use it, is the operating system authenticating you. The app receives a yes or a no and never receives face data.

Scene data from broadcasts

To recognise that two devices are witnessing one Event, the app stores descriptors of what a camera can see: a perceptual descriptor of a region of the frame, text that is legible in the scene, and where in the frame those came from. These describe the scene, not any person, and they are never compared against a database of people.

Because a scene at a public event can contain people and readable signage, we treat this as data deserving care, not harmless telemetry. We are still working through retention and filtering for these fields. We would rather say that plainly than describe a control we have not finished building.

Who else sees your data

We use Amazon Web Services for hosting, video delivery and storage. Data is processed in the United States. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your choices

For questions or requests about published content, stream visibility or account deletion, contact hello@vyuuh.com. We will explain the available options and any retention limits. Location is only recorded while you are broadcasting, and the operating system's permission controls apply.

Children

vyuuh is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

When this policy changes materially we will say so here with a new date, never quietly revising it.
